Alex + Andrew’s Winter Kicking Horse Wedding
May 25, 2017 | Mountain Wedding
It was a pleasure to work with Alex and Andrew for their winter kicking horse wedding. Both Alex and Andrew are kind, generous and all around fun people to hang out with. Their wedding was certainly very memorable for us. When we arrived at Andrew’s chalet, he had rented at the base of Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, it was foggy and a little rainy but that didn’t dampen the spirits of Andrew and his groomsmen. There was a genuine camaraderie among all the groomsmen and you could tell they were the best of friends. Afterwards, we made our way up the Kicking Horse gondola to meet Alex and her bridesmaids. The girls were getting ready in the picturesque Eagle’s Eye restaurant that sits atop the mountain. Laughter filled the air as we walked upstairs to greet everyone. Alex looked stunning in her beautiful wedding dress and was so excited to see Andrew for the first time on their wedding day.
We set up a “first look” for Alex and Andrew just outside the restaurant overlooking the stunning Rocky Mountains. Alex took a walk down the aisle to embrace her groom for the first time on their incredible day. Afterwards, we made our way around the mountain peaks for some beautiful environmental portraits. It was a little chilly for their wedding ceremony however everyone was warm with excitement. Close friends and family members offered some memorable speeches of Alex and Andrew including a Ted Talks style of presentation from the best man. Very impressive! As the speeches came to an end the dance floor party kicked into high gear with some live Celtic music followed by an epic dance party.
Thank you Alex and Andrew for including us as your Kicking Horse Wedding Photographer. We wish you both all the best in your adventure down in Bermuda. Stay in touch! We want to thank the incredible staff at the Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, all the amazing vendors we were fortunate enough to work with and Lynn at the Home Lodge Bed and Breakfast.
